Film on the everyday education of a construction mechanics

Construction mechanics have fun with practical work. Jeffrey Stohr did his apprenticeship as a construction mechanics for MINDA equipment technology and tells about his everyday education in our film "We are looking for makers. Around the world with MINDA."

Trainer Axel Brandt-Müller and apprentice Jeffrey Stohr at work.

With this film, we want to show students and interested parties what is part of the apprenticeship at MINDA and reduce possible fear of contact.

Jeffrey Stohr reports on moving through five departments in the mechanical production, starting from materials management via welding to mounting complete assemblies. In materials management, he already gets an overview of the parts variety, learns the reasons for the part numbers in a database, how customers are subdivided and how special orders are handled. This information was a good basis to understand the further processes.

It particularly appeals to him about MINDA that there is a practice-oriented education. There is no training workshop because from the very first day you already work on the equipment. In case of any questions, you can contact the trainers and journeymen, who will willingly answer them.

Jeffrey enjoys working in the company and lists all the characteristics that are important for becoming a construction mechanics.
